Did you know that water makes up 50%-70% of the body’s weight? Yes- That’s right! Drinking plenty of water is essential to the health of both our body and skin.

Water not only sustains the health of our cells but it also aids in the elimination of toxins and waste. Water helps to regulate our body’s temperature and even helps in proper digestion. When the body gets the proper amount of water it keeps our skin healthy, vital and attractive.

So how much water is enough you ask?

There are many factors when determining how much water we should be drinking, but these are some of the most common.

*Your body weight, daily physical activities, working environment, alcohol and caffeine intake and use of tobacco products.

Here’s a simple rule to follow:

Take your body weight and divide by 2.
Take the answer and divide by 8.
That is approximately how many 8oz glasses of water you should be drinking per day.

Ex: Your body weight is 160
160/2 = 80
80/8 = 10
 You should drink a minimum of 10 glasses of water per day!

*Now remember to consider the other factors above. By adding a minimum of 2 extra glasses to your total, this should help to replenish your body.
